Put More Hustle in Your Side Hustleby blogpointclub
Very few of us would say “Nah, my finances are golden. I couldn’t use any more extra cash if it were handed to me.” For the majority of the population, a little extra padding in the wallet or bank account would be a welcome change. But maintaining two work schedules can be downright impossible. So, what can you do?
Here are some great ways to make money in the hours when you aren’t “on the clock.”
5. Utilize a Skill You Already Have.
Do you mentally correct your friends’ grammar all the time? Do dangling participles drive you crazy? Become a freelance editor.
Do you spend your evenings watching television and knitting or crocheting blankets, booties, sweaters, purses… you get the point. Open an Etsy store and sell your work.
Do you love to bake? Sell your goods to local businesses or markets for a profit.
Was math, science, or a second language your strength in school? Offer private tutoring in your home or via an online program. Check out this article offering a list of legitimate online tutoring jobs.
4. Become a Mobile Notary.
Every state in the country has different requirements for becoming a notary, but you can set your own hours and do as much or as little notarizing as you want. You can either search “Become a Notary” in your state, or check out one stop sites like the National Notary Association.
3. Drive for Uber or Lyft.
Would you believe you don’t even need your own car? There are options with both Uber and Lyft to coordinate the use of a car, or you can confirm with them if your own car is eligible. And while you’re at it, you could be a delivery driver for Uber Eats, GrubHub, or Postmates.
2. Trade in textbooks, electronics, and more at Amazon and earn Amazon Giftcards.
This is an option we’d never even heard of, and frankly, wishing we had! Seriously? You can trade in stuff and get money to buy other stuff? Awesome!
So, it’s not a straight work-to-cash type of side hustle, but you reap the benefit of getting rid of stuff you don’t want and the ability to get the stuff you do want. Check out the Amazon Trade-In option.
1. Get Paid for Completing Surveys and Polls Online.
You knew this would make the list, so don’t even act surprised. It’s a low stress, easy way to make some extra money while watching television in the evening or while you’re stuck in line at the DMV.
There are many, many online survey sites on the web. Be sure to read our post “Not All Online Surveys are Created Legal” for pointers on how to recognize the good from the “run away quickly” kind.
When considering your options, you should know the following about PointClub:
- Not every panelist is eligible to complete every survey. If you try, but are deemed ineligible, Captain PC has the authority to grant you points regardless of completion. We are the only online survey site to provide this payout.
- We grant signup bonuses and extra points for completing your initial panelist dossier.
- We have one of the lower payout thresholds at $25, which you can take as payment to a Paypal account or through a variety of gift card offers.
- We give away points every day via our Facebook page. Don’t leave out that daily checkin!
